The Paramount Hotel, Portland OR, 97205

The 2019 Portland IBL Workshop held at The Paramount Hotel in Portland, OR offers participants a northwest coast option with proximity to a major airport.

  • The major airport near The Paramount Hotel is Portland International Airport (code: PDX), which is approximately 12 miles from the hotel.

  • Lodging during the workshop will be available at The Paramount Hotel. The workshop will also be hosted in the same location.

  • Attendance expectations: The IBL workshop meets from 8AM to 5PM, Tuesday to Friday. Participants who attend an IBL Workshop are expected to attend all sessions. The goals and sequencing of workshop sessions are intentionally designed for participants to be present and engaged for the entire 4 days.

Registration will open in December of 2018. Please email Katie Kahle, AIBL Admin Assistant, for any further questions.

The location for the 2019 Portland workshop is held at 808 SW Taylor Street, Portland, OR 97205. The workshop and hotel are in the same location. Funding from the NSF PRODUCT (DUE-1525058) allows us to provide low cost housing and breakfast during the workshop.  We recognize that people may live in the area, or have friends or family members they are able to stay with, thus we have a tiered registration fee for those needing housing and those not needing housing.

A registration fee and registration form are required. The registration fee for participants or non-locals who need lodging is $500 and the registration fee for participants who do not need lodging is $150.

The registration fee covers hotel (for non-locals), breakfast on workshop days, venue, and facilitator salaries and expenses. Participants are responsible to pay for travel costs, lunch and dinner, and the registration fee.
