AIBL Small Grant Application
Instructions (Cohort 7, Fall 2013)
Applications Due September 17, 2013
Category 1: Novice IBL Instructors
- Identify your target IBL course and course materials (See Resources).
- Find a mentor yourself or through the AIBL Mentor Program.
- Complete the online APPLICATION FORM (Category 1 Application Form)
- Write a 1-2 page narrative that discusses the course you will teach, the environment (class size, student population), and how you plan to structure and teach the course. Additional relevant information may also be included.
- Submit a short CV with your application.
- Submit a letter of support from your mentor
- *Proposals requesting course release time must include a letter of support from a supervisor/administrator indicating the dollar amount.
- Email your narrative, CV, and letter(s) in PDF format to Stan Yoshinobu, Director of AIBL.
Category 2: Experienced IBL Instructors
- Complete the online APPLICATION FORM (Category 2 Application Form)
- Write a proposal narrative that describes the project, the timeline, and expected outcomes. The narrative should also include an itemized budget. (Proposals are typically 2-5 pages in length. There is no page restriction, though overly lengthy proposals are discouraged)
- Submit a short CV.
- *Proposals requesting course release time must include a letter of support from a supervisor/administrator indicating the dollar amount.
- Email your narrative, CV, and any necessary or relevant letter(s) in PDF format to Stan Yoshinobu, Director of AIBL.
Due Date and Notification
Applications are due September 17, 2013 at 11:59PM pacific time. All applications received afterwards will not be considered for funding. Applications will be reviewed by committee, and all applicants will be notified of award status at the end of October or early November.
