The location for this workshop is 1781 Church St NW, Washington, DC 20036. The hotel is 1/2 mile away. Through the National Science Foundation, we are able to provide low cost housing for participants. We recognize that people may live in the city, or have friends or family members they want to stay with and will not need housing and we will have a lower registration fee. There is no parking at the MAA Carriage house but there are two public lots on 18th St. in between N St NW and Massachusetts Ave. Nw.
To ensure workshop participation commitments, we ask that applicants submit a registration fee along with their workshop application. The registration fee (for non-locals) is $499 + $7.95 processing fee. Fees for those not requiring housing will be lower at $150 + $3.99 processing fee. The fee for the DC Workshop is higher than the other workshops due to higher costs.
Included in the registration fee is hotel (for non-locals), breakfast and lunch on workshop days, venue, and facilitator salaries and expenses. Most of the cost to conduct the workshop is paid for by NSF PRODUCT (DUE-1525058). Participants are responsible to pay for travel costs, some meals, incidentals, and the registration fee.
